CLARION (Dorchester, Clark Co, WI) 09/21/1928 Konecny, Mary (12
SEP 1928) A very pretty
wedding took place last Wednesday at the St. Louis Catholic
Parsonage when Miss Mary Konecny, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.
Konecny, was united in marriage to Carl F. Kaiser of Athens. The
ceremony was performed by Rev. Paul Pitzenberger with Misses
Cecelia Kaiser and Neince of Athens, and George Kaiser and frank
Konecny acting as attendants. The bride was
beautifully dressed in a white satin gown trimmed with lace and a
veil and slippers to match. She carried a shower bouquet of roses
and ferns. The bridesmaids were dressed in georgette crepe, one
orchid and one peach colored, with headbands of brilliants. The
groom and his attendants wore the conventional blue. After the ceremony
the bridal party motored to Medford for wedding pictures. They then
returned to the home of the bride, where a sumptuous banquet and
reception was held. In the evening a free wedding dance was held at
Athens, with a large attendance. The couple received very many
beautiful and useful gifts. The couple left
Monday on a honeymoon trip in the southern part of the state and
expect to be at hoem by Oct. 1sts. Mr. Kaiser is a stockholder in
the Milan Oil Co., and drives their Athens truck for them. Mr. and
Mrs. Kaiser will live at Athens. Miss Konecny, who
was born and raised in Dorchester country, is very well known and
liked by all who know her. They all join us in wishing them the
best of happiness and success as they journey through life
together. Among those who
were present from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Wagner and family,
Cadott, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Brehm of Colby, aunts of the bride;
Mr. and Mrs. John Kaiser, parents of the groom, of Athens; Mr. and
Mrs. Alfred Kruetzer and family, and their son John, of Athens; A.
J. Sauter and family, John Braun and family, Frank Junk and family,
Bert Londsdorf and family, B. J. Esselman and family, Joe Schriner
and family, sister and brother-in-law of the groom, F. J. Reitbrock
and family, Walter Behrend and family, Ervin Behren and family, and
